Example, Tues 26th Feb

If you spotted the gangly Elliot Gleave on the street you’d be forgiven for failing to place him as one of UK music’s biggest stars: a dead ringer for Will Self perhaps, or maybe a local housing officer, but not a rapper. As Example (E.G., gettit?) he’s had a steady rise from his early adoption by Mike Skinner’s Beats label up to arena level with fourth album ‘The Evolution Of Man’. Tonight, dubstep don Benga and hip hop boy wonder Sway lend quality support.

Stuart Huggett

Stuart Huggett grew up in Hastings, publishing fanzines and writing blogs about the town’s underground music scene. He is a regular contributor to SOURCE, NME, The Quietus, Bowlegs and more. His huge archive of magazines, flyers and vinyl is either an invaluable research tool or a bloody pain. He occasionally runs tinpot record label Dizzy Tiger, DJs sporadically and plays live even less.
