Creating techno-pop in the Spice Girls era, Republica were beloved of synth-loving goths, angsty teenagers and mainstream radio stations alike. ‘Ready To Go’ and ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ still have the irrepressible earworm qualities they had back in the 90s, which is either impressive or irritating, depending on how highly you value catchiness. And now they’re back, looking remarkably similar to how they did in their heyday. After a tour supporting Boomtown Rats at the end of 2014, the band have a sprinkling of gigs nationwide. See them and relive your teenage crush.
Support comes from SOURCE favourites Curxes, a duo-turned-trio who serve up unapologetically explosive electro-pop, and Lewes veterans Digitalis.
