As synonymous with the Green Door Store as cobbled dancefloors and failing to buy drinks with a credit card, the venue’s curious collection of deer heads and antlers receives its honours this evening. Rumbling instrumentalists June Deer (ex Waxed Apple/The Mutts) have the name, but they’re trumped conceptually by Fallow’s quite possibly unsettling soundscapes of cervine field recordings. Rounding out the bill, neither Andy Wheddon nor Embla Quickbeam has yet promised further stag do antics, but there’s still time.
