Breathy, soulful vocals and a live seven-piece band creating dubstep from its roots upwards have scored this Leeds band some well received beach-side festival slots, and some highly dedicated fans. Deep bass soundscapes prevail under jazzy grooves, twinkly instrumentals and heavenly trip hop melodies, reminiscent of a more passionate Cinematic Orchestra. But if they invoke the crowd to drone ‘Cro-aayy-sherr, Cro-ayy-sherr’ don’t encourage them. It’s annoying. We’re in Brighton, and it’s probably raining.
