Wolf Alice, Sat 16th Feb

Posted by Anna Thomas

Hotly tipped by the people that decide such things, Wolf Alice are living up to their moniker of being “the ones to watch for 2013”. Voted in the top ten bands of the year so far by the NME, now is your chance to see them at a small Brighton venue before you have to stand at the back, behind really tall people, at overcrowded and overpriced venues all over the country. From beginnings writing psychedelic folk songs about life and love on Holloway Road, they’ve now become a four-piece and upped their tempo making sultry psycho-freak pop rock. With more than a hint of Elastica about them, Wolf Alice will be hitting Brighton two days after the release of their new single ‘Fluffy’ and will be more than ready to prove the people that decide such things right. This is one of those shows that in two years time you want to say you were at. Support comes from Brighton’s own The Hundredth Anniversary.
