King Dude, Sat 2nd Feb

Dec 2, 2012

Posted by Anna Thomas

Winter can be a bit of a dark, depressing time, so why not embrace it by checking out the gravelly, pagan-fuelled love songs of Seattle’s King Dude? Sounding like what would happen if Tom Waits sold his soul to the devil, King Dude’s take on those familiar themes of love, death and redemption will fulfill any desire to wallow in melancholy this month. Steeped in Americana and religious iconography, his post apocalyptic musical visions are both chilling and yet strangely uplifting.
