Love Supreme Festival, 4th – 6th July

Jun 4, 2014

Posted by Steve Clements

With last year’s inaugural event given a unanimous thumbs up, it’s time to see if they can keep up the momentum for year 2. The line-up remains strong, if occasionally a little wide of the jazz mark, with man-of-the-moment Gregory Porter making a welcome return. Al McKay’s version of Earth, Wind & Fire will have to go some to compete with Nile Rodgers’ best set of the 2013 festival but the international programme also sees local talent well represented. Full report next month.
