Jamie caught our eye this month with his striking look, combining retro chic elements to create a contemporary style of his own. Mining the past for fashion inspiration is nothing new of course, but you don’t want to end up looking like a museum piece. Jamie’s judicious appropriation of cross-gender branding across new and old outfit components, together with a cavalier approach to manufacturers’ recommended measurements, really ticked our boxes. He talked us through his clobber.

“Yes, they look like moccasins but they’re actually really broken brogues – I’ve worn them everywhere, all over Scandinavia, and they’re really broken. No, no socks. I hate them, they don’t feel good.”
