Live: Doctor’s Orders

Doctor's Orders reviewed by Oleg Pulemjotov for Brighton SOURCE magazine, Brighton's best music, arts and listings magazine.

Brighton is not Detroit. Yet there is still at least a big basement-full of hipster nerdy kids around thinking they have what it takes to live in the projects. This Saturday they have all congregated at Jam for a banging session of, what seemed to be, a gangster sing-along. Waving their hands and sweating all over each other they were happy to finish every gat-clappin’ rhyme that came out of Elzhi and Phat Kat’s mouth like it was their own! Or at least about them! Great beats, great raps and great vibes – just what the doctor has ordered!
