DITZ return with double headline show and live album

Local heroes DITZ have been playing the long game, paying their dues, grafting hard and building a reputation for incendiary live shows.

There is a reason why Idles frontman, Joe Talbot, has been regularly heard to proclaim from various Brighton stages, “DITZ: best band in Brighton everyone. DDIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTZ!”

Anyone who witnessed the band’s late Thursday night Alt Escape show at the Fiddler’s Elbow will have seen the mixture of fear and glee in the sound engineer’s eyes, as his kit surfed the wave of imminent destruction, whilst helping unleash beautiful chaos.

Powered by Sam Evans’ exceptional drumming skills, Caleb Remnant, Anton Mocock and Jack Looker deliver a furious bass and twin guitar assault, while Cal Francis is becoming ever more comfortable as the frontman riding the noise.

The releases are also going from strength to strength. The ‘5 Song EP’ and 2022’s debut album: ‘The Great Regression’ both hit hard. They will soon be joined in your record collection by a live album; recorded at The Louisiana in Bristol. ‘On The Bai’ou’ will be released in March on Alcopop Records.

As part of the tour to promote the new record they are headlining a two-night stint the Green Door Store. If you are a lover of the good stuff: attendance is frankly essential. The risk that Brighton Station collapses into the Green Door Store, as a direct result, cutting us off from London for ever is frankly real.

Lout Present: DITZ, Green Door Store, 27th & 28th April 2023
Tickets: 27th and 28th

On The Bai’ou released March 30th, more info here
