Homegrown Announce 2025 Line-up

The organisers of the delightful Homegrown Festival have announced their first wave of acts for the 2025 event. Amongst the names are SOURCE’s favourite lovers of the sea, The Leaning, who we last saw on a boat in May, as well Arxx, who this writer was lucky enough to catch setting fire to the Greenpeace Stage at last Summer’s Glastonbury Festival. They will be joined by local punks Jopy who will be just back from playing the annual South By Southwest event in Texas, a sign of their growing status as a band, and new Bella Union signed artists: Congratulations.

Of course, no Brighton festival would be complete with out the unquestionable delights of Genn, Ladylike and The Stanford Family Band. Interestingly for Team SOURCE, there are also a lot of new (to us) names on the bill, such as the grunge of Wimp, the Nu Soul of Steven Bamidele and the the pop rock of Gina Larner. We are also looking forward to finally catching Archie Beer’s (formally of Flip Top Head) new band Goodbye.

This year Daltons and Revenge are both joining the list of venues that includes the Folklore Rooms, Green Door Store, Hope & Ruin, Pipeline, Prince Albert and Rossi Bar. The festival is supported by a grant from Arts Council England which is aimed at supporting grassroots music venues.

Lots more acts will be announced soon.
