Mutations Festival Line Up Expands

As if the Mutations line up was not already filled to bursting a total of 23 acts have been added to the line up across the Friday and Saturday. While there is a strong focus on local bands, such as the mighty punk fury of Snayx, some really interesting and surprising acts have also joined the bill.

Manchester Electro punks Silverwingkiller, who are about to release their second EP ‘Desperate Struggle’ will be bringing their twisted beats to the party as will O.the Speedy Wunderground endorsed explosion of sax and drums. Ever the outsider artist Jeffrey Lewis and the Voltage will be bringing his much loved anti-folk to Friday night along with the soon to be huge post punks Humane, while Saturday now includes the Ninja Tune legend DJ Food, and the stunning indie rock of Hank who’s beautiful melodies left us wowed us at the Waterbear Venue during this year’s Great Escape.

Local legends; Goo Records are taking over the Albert on the Friday with a set of bands that includes their long term signees; Stanford Family Band as well as garage rock from the ever awesome Oral Habit joined by the dream pop of Zoe Lief and the wonky jazz pop of the Mink.

Anticipation has also been building for the debut release by Post Common featuring Stuart from TRAMMS and John from John alongside Ian of Yetti and Resident Records fame. Their shows at the last two Great Escapes have showed real progression as a band and musical vision that matches our desire for how good we want a band born of this linage to be.

Add to that the delicious alt rock of M. Woodroe and the hotly tipped Opal Mag and Source can confirm we are ready!

If you want to join teh party tickets are close to selling out.
