Of all its mutations, gypsy-punk is probably punk’s most visual lovechild. All four members of RatBag sing their hearts out, accompanied by drums, bass, guitars and accordion. This cheery, foot-stomping musical offshoot couldn’t find a better home than Brighton, and what’s not to love about a band who describe their music as ‘ear-treats’? Still in their infancy, RatBag are one to watch, having already played at the Kemptown festival fundraiser, as well as numerous local hotspots.

Thirza Tooes is a small fish in a big pond, who dreams of being able to write about anything, for anyone. She loves Brighton much more than where she grew up, and may well become an eccentric Brightonian pensioner if she doesn't end up across the ocean addicted to deep-fried cheesecake.
