Shine For ShelterBox Charity Supper Pop-Ups

If there were a vote to find the UK’s capital city of supperclubs, Brighton would surely make the shortlist. And this November, Brightonians will be able to have their cake, eat it, and help someone else to eat theirs too, as the disaster relief campaign Shine For ShelterBox brings a series of fundraisers, events, and candlelit feasts, including a dozen pop-ups, to the city.

ShelterBox have teamed up with our favourite multi-sided food fans Polygon Pop-Up in a bid to raise funds for families made homeless by conflict and natural disaster. The campaign’s theme is “light”, and, as Lucy Holden from ShelterBox explains, the aim is to “provide lights that help families in desperate circumstances feel a little bit safer.”

Some of the city’s top chefs, restaurants and food-and-drink businesses will be taking part. See below for the full line-up, but the best-known names include The Set and Pascere doing a Caribbean-inspired mash-up, a banquet at Plateau, and (we’re really excited about this one) a collaboration between 64 Degrees and Cin Cin. “All the people came and the poor got paid!” in the immortal words of Run DMC.
