It’s Our 13th Birthday!

Dr Parson's is a nasty piece of work

So, SOURCE has become a teenager; expect us to get stroppy and difficult and JUST HATE EVERYTHING any day now. But before that happens we want to be grateful for a minute. Because there are a lot of people who have got us here. We’d like to thank everyone who’s contributed words, photos and images over the last 13 years (frequently for little or no money), but there’s simply not even close to enough space. We hope that you all know how much we love and value you, especially the current SOURCE team and Talent Pool who are probably the strongest in the magazine’s history.

Another group of people that it’s not fashionable to thank, but keep this magazine free for all the readers, is the advertisers. Without you there’d be no SOURCE and every time you choose us to reach your audience we’re hugely grateful (especially if you send your artwork in the right dimensions). And – before we get too emotional – we want to thank the tens of thousands of readers across Brighton every month. The affection that you hold the magazine in is very touching and has kept us going at times when we really should have jacked it in. Right, that’s enough of all that. Now, fuck off and read the new magazine, it’s another beauty. (Illustration by Dr Parsons).
