Now in its third year, Sussex’s own Jazz jamboree has become a well-established and welcome fixture of the festival scene. The first acts have just been announced and they’ve gone for two heavyweights with Chaka Khan headlining the Saturday night and Van Morrison closing the festival the day after. Jazz purists need not fear with sax man Joshua Redman teaming up with The Bad Plus, Terence Blanchard returning with a new project and big names such as Hugh Masekela, Ginger Baker and Dianne Reeves also appearing. Nice.
