One day we’ll learn. For the fourth year running we crammed more musical talent into a venue and into a timeframe than was necessary or sane. This time out The Recommender – SOURCE contributors and blog superstars – came aboard to share the stress and showcase some of the bands they love. Kicking off things in a suave style, Mirrors floored everyone with their glacial, emotional synth pop, while Foreign Office’s tight grooves had the room fired up. The Agitator was agitated which led to a fired up performance in front of a crammed audience, ready for the hyped King Charles to soak up the adulation. Pope Joan drove things home with one of the most intense performances we saw over the whole Great Escape. A fantastic night, sorry if you struggled to get in but thanks if you were one of the many that cheered on the bands to some killer performances.
