Anne-Marie, Sun 31st Jan

Anne-Marie has recently made some strong moves into the solo scene. Catapulting from the success of her Rudimental collabs with Will Heard and Dizzee Rascal, she’s released several of her own tracks in as many months.

Moving away from Rudimental’s drum and bass, she’s sought to establish herself as a singer in her own right. She may have gone towards an electro synth-pop sound, but she’s learned a few lessons from the group – particularly with her production, which she’s taken care to keep high-end, working with Show N Prove on her new single ‘Do It Right’. Likewise she’s well within the bounds of modern R&B – the changes are not so much stylistic as departural, shifting the focus further towards her voice, which is undeniably fine.

In celebration of her single release (and in anticipation of a forthcoming album), Anne-Marie is playing a four-date tour of England with support D/K. Considering the people she’s already worked with, she may well be one to watch.

Tickets are available here.
