Local boys Cave Painting, despite this being their debut headlining show in Brighton, are definitely heading in the direction of ‘made good’. This outing coincides with the release of their first single on major label Mercury Records, with whom they also have an album coming later in the year. You’ll find CP sitting between Chapel Club and Arcade Fire with just a pinch of Metronomy – all doomy atmospherics and fragile melodies, but with a handy beat up their sleeve when called for.
