DAAM & MEANS Electronic music night, Sun 23rd June

Here’s something for the eyes, ears and mind. Local label and champions of the experimental, Difficult Art And Music in cahoots with MEANS Magazine are putting on a night of audio-visual experiences at The Bees Mouth on 23rd June.

Four acts are promised on the card, representing the sweep of  the area’s vibrant electronic/ambient music scene : DAAM’s very own Distant Animals; WHI Recordings sound explorer Secret Nuclear; the illusive Brighton Ambients (which likely includes Roger Harmar, Paul Lewis and Paul Khimasia Morgan); and the glitch developer Armatures. So expect an expanse of loops and drones, leftfield beat making and the odd shiver all wrapped in a swirl of light and colour multi-projections. There’s even a rumour that a corner will be found for a DAAM label pop up shop for all related paraphenalia.

It all kicks off at 7 for a snappy £7 in the Bees Mouth along Western Road. See you on the wonky dancefloor maybe.
