It’s hard to put to words the privilege that our fair city has of hosting the great Daniel Johnston. For him to play, backed by British Sea Power, in one of our most prestigious buildings is like an artist playing within a work of art – an image befitting of such a grand occasion. The deeply troubled mind of manic-depressive Johnston will spread his heart wrenching lyrics like a platoon of organ notes diffusing throughout a setting so breathtaking, you might… might just cry.
