DJ Andy Smith spent much of the nineties crate digging for samples for Portishead’s eponymous second album and touring the world with the band as their DJ. He went on to release ‘The Document’ – the world’s first multi-genre mix album – which proved Andy had not only an encyclopedic knowledge of music but also the skills to mix it all together and not sound like a fifty-car pileup on the M4. Tonight he brings a bag full of funk, northern soul and Motown for a full three-hour set. You’d be off your Portishead to miss it. We’ll get our coat.
