Irish lads General Fiasco first made a name for themselves with debut single ‘Ever So Shy’, an excitable romp through teenage hedonism and awkward romance that could force a grin out of even the staunchest of cliché despisers. As new EP ‘Waves’ suggests though, extensive touring has brought out a harder edge in the young indie rockers. The charmingly apparent naïveté is still there, but 12 months on, their grittier direction guarantees a night of sweat soaked frenzy.
