Happy Mondays Sun 26th May

Between 1987 and 1989 the Mondays played Brighton four times but they haven’t ventured down since. Tonight the classic line-up return, larger than life and larger than they were, complete with Bez, Rowetta and the inimitable E poet Shaun Ryder, who’s undergone something of a makeover since going into the I’m A Celebrity jungle. Support comes from 808 State, and the cavernous Brighton Centre may well provide the perfect location for a late 80s rave flashback or two, but these days there are curfews. Nevertheless: sorted, top one, etc.
