Jazz Rooms Meets Soulful Strut, Saturday 11th November

This revival of the long-running club night, The Jazz Rooms, sees Russ Dewbury back behind the decks with his eccentric show: Jazz Rooms Meets Soulful Strut. As an artist first inspired by the vibrant personality of this city, Dewbury aims to mix the eclectic sounds of Afrobeat, Latin soul and r’n’b with his signature blend of funk and soul – through a club night first started nearly 40 years ago.

Following on from his recent sold-out show at London’s CLF Art Lounge, the DJ is set to play on the 11th of November at Komedia alongside a live percussion section. The event will revisit the talent of artists such as The Rebirth, Mixed Generation Enterprize and The Circling Sun, incorporating different eras of music heard on Dewbury’s Brighton Rocks radio mix. Budding jazz enthusiasts will not want to miss out.
