It’s often suggested Scandinavians understand the English language better than native speakers, and no-one confirms this more than Lekman. The intricate wordplay underpinning his darkly comic songs, about struggles in love and life, rate amongst the best songwriting of the past decade. Live, he’s an absolute charmer, someone who may well personally accompany you afterwards, singing, to the nearest bus rank (we’ve seen it happen). Expect uplifting, downbeat, fiery and mellow indie folk. Think Jeffrey Lewis meeting Leonard Cohen in a snowstorm.

Adam Peters started out publishing football fanzines in the late 80s. Various jobs on video games magazines and a brief dalliance scripting photo love stories for the teen press followed. Switching media to television, he co-wrote David Walliams' first sitcom, was somehow once BAFTA-nominated and now concentrates on pre-school animation series. Coming full circle, in 2013 he launched a roller derby fanzine.
