The brother of The Horrors’ Faris, Tarik Badwan seems to have a similar ear for articulate, aggressive sludge, heavy on the pathos and reverb. His band Loom’s grunge inspired garage punk has seen them named one of the most exciting bands of this year by NME and rightly so. Lauded for their intense live shows, this a chance to see them before they go stratospheric. Support from Brighton’s own Dinosaur Jr-tinged Birdskulls make this an essential night. (Ben Hallett)
