The Marwood is Brighton’s (and, let’s face it, probably the world’s) original Withnail & I inspired coffee emporium. It’s also almost definitely the only café in existence where you can play Ms Pac Man under the shadow of a hot-air balloon piloted by Sooty. This month, it’s hosting a mini festival featuring, among others, Lion Bark, Night House and the ace Laura and the Bass. Not household names, admittedly, but from what we’ve heard you can expect to be medicined with a dose of laid-back, sun-soaked, 70s-tinted tunes. And for those demanding to have some booze, don’t get the fear — the place is licensed.
