For more than twenty years, without a change in line-up, this trio have been ploughing their musical furrow: beloved of hacks and musicians, but never quite crossing over into the mainstream. Even when Jack and Meg White hit paydirt with their punky garage blues concoction, the band who wrote the recipe remained at the margins. A crying shame, as the sheer noisy enthusiasm on offer tonight demonstrates. JSBX are the warm crackly vinyl that fathered your antiseptic White Stripes CDs.
