On the back of their launch party with Optimo and Ivan Smagghe, Vanishing Point have pulled out the stops for their August Bank Holiday special. Saturday 29th August will see Kompakt label boss Michael Mayer play for four hours at Patterns for his Brighton debut. Having recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, Cologne’s seminal Kompakt label has delivered classic releases from the likes of Dominik Eulberg, Matthias Tanzmann, Justus Köhncke, Dauwd, Agoria, Barnt and John Tejada.

DJ, producer and remixer Michael Mayer fuses techno, electronica, house and even cosmic disco into his sets and releases. Critically acclaimed releases include ‘Mantasy’, ‘Touch’, and Supermayer’s ‘Save the World’ with Axel Schauffler. This year, Michael Mayer has released the excellent ‘The Stickler’ on the ‘Time is Running’ 12” with Reinhard Voigt and has appeared at a number of festivals and events around the world, including the Kompakt Total residency at Space, Ibiza.

Joining Michael Mayer will be Vanishing Points residents Teamy (Wrong Island) and Matthew Balaam (Square Root / Mirage) combining for one Bank Holiday special that’s not to be missed.
