Live: Beach House

In line with every Thanksgiving tradition, Beach House’s visit to Brighton on November 25th was s feast – a shoegaze feast, for that matter – that left the crowd comatose. With three outstanding albums under their belt and years in the scene, the band’s remarkable performance was anything but a surprise.

Strung together by Victoria Legrand’s voice and Alex Scally’s guitar the band made sure to play the crowd’s favourites from every one of their records and fill all the crevasses in the room with sweet melodies – sweet melodies that all of us with any little bit of good taste in music have come to recognize.

Basically, like someone knowledgeable (someone whose name I can no longer recall) once said: “If you like bad music, you probably weren’t going to like this”.
