John Cooper Clarke, Sun 16th November

Posted by Steve Clements

He may not have released a new album for over thirty years but the Bard of Salford’s profile has never been higher. He’s worshipped by Alex Turner, soundtracked The Sopranos and now at the grand old age of 65, he’s touring some of the country’s finer emporiums, including our own Theatre Royal. His trademark stick thin frame, exploding hair and sunglasses have remained unchanged, enabling him to play himself in the Ian Curtis biopic ‘Control’. Expect a tongue-in-cheek rhyming critique of current affairs alongside some old favourites.
