Dr John & The Nite Trippers, Thurs 12th Mar

Mar 4, 2015

Posted by Steve Clements

The Creole crooner has already recorded an album in homage to the home he calls N’Awlinz and now Mac is back in Brighton to perform his tribute to Louis Armstrong on the back of last year’s ‘Ske-Dat-De-Dat: The Spirit Of Satch’ release. The ex-junkie jailbird is now a vibrant 74-year-old elder statesman, and his style remains unique – soaked in mysticism, psychedelia and bluesy rock ‘n’ roll. This looks to be an evening of good time voodoo vibes with a new take on some old classics.
