Cosey Fanni Tutti in Conversation, Sat 22nd Apr

Another inspired booking from Dictionary Pudding which has proved so popular it has been upgraded from West Hill Hall to the Brighthelm Centre on North Road.

This is a rare chance to hear Cosey Fanni Tutti, of Industrial legends Throbbing Gristle and Chris and Cosey, discuss her extraordinary life and work. TG were labelled ‘wreckers of civilisation’ by Tory MP Nicholas Fairbairn following their infamous Prostitution exhibition at the ICA in 1976. Cosey also worked as a striptease artiste and porn film actress at the height of Soho’s 70s seediness.

After being effectively banned from performing in Hull, Cosey and Genesis P-Orridge were invited back to organise an exhibition as part of this year’s City of Culture events.

She has recently had her autobiography Art Sex Music published and will be interviewed by Graham Duff before taking questions from the audience and signing copies of her book. The event will also include a set of industrial music from Kollaps DJs.
