A package tour assembled by cult psych pop songwriter Robyn Hitchcock, The Floating Palace sees the sometime Soft Boys leader and a handful of favoured friends collaborating on one another’s songs, or any other tunes they fancy that evening. Tonight, these friends include KT Tunstall, Martin and Eliza Carthy, Giant Sand’s Howe Gelb and Abigail Washburn, so The Floating Palace is likely to drift into folk and country waters. Hitchcock and co’s good humour should keep the evening buoyant.
