On a weekend chock-full of great gigs, we’re destined to round ours off at the Prince Albert on Sunday to see one of our favourite local bands, Of Empires.

It’s been a few months since we hit the road with the Brighton-based Guernsey lads to cover their debut Reading Festival show, and the boys have been busy in the studio since.

Expect to hear a couple of new tunes, with some beautiful psych-influenced licks and trademark show-stealing vocals and performance from energetic frontman Jack Fletcher. Here’s a taster of ‘Waist Up In Gold’:

The lineup also sees Arcades (straight out of Leicester) and Dead Natives (London) on hand to get the night suitably warmed up. Both bands are fresh on the scene, and having risen up through the ranks in 2017, are already on the lips of many, touted by the likes of Gigslutz and BBC Introducing.

I'm a music, events and portrait photographer (Time for Heroes Photography), balancing freelance work with my day job as a content writer.

I'm a lover of the open-minded, treating people and our planet with respect, punk spirit and take a rather footloose and fancy-free new approach to embrace new experiences. Not a fan of heights.

I adore Brighton's unique character, and have been proudly repping Brighton Source since 2013.
