Brighton Tap Takeover, 27th – 29th April

The South Coast’s biggest craft beer festival is back, with more pubs and more tipples than ever. The third annual Brighton Tap Takeover returns on the last weekend of April, heralding a glorious few days for the city’s booze fans – a vast pub crawl encompassing fifteen of our favourite venues, and over a hundred craft beers from eighteen breweries, all on tap. From porters to pale ales, as well as gluten-free and vegan varieties, all manner of beer fan will be catered for.

This year’s breweries include Sussex’s own Two Tribes, Laine Brew Co and Lost & Found, each of which will be taking over a separate pub, and from further afield, Newcastle’s Wylam, Somerset’s Wild Beer Co, Berkshire’s Wild Weather and New Zealand’s Yeastie Boys, amongst others.

The North Laine Brewhouse will be the festival hub, with maps and wristbands available, and thirty-six taps for supreme keg sampling, as well as beer and brewery themed talks, entertainment and sampling events across the weekend. The soundtrack will be provided in collaboration with Resident and local DJs. Wristbands are available online, and for £15 you get four half-pints, a can, and £1 off every pint you buy over the weekend. Budget-friendly beer bash? Count us in.
