Goth Trad at The Mine

For six years, The Mine has served Brighton’s club scene with something unique: quality dubstep, drum and bass and dub DJs from around the world in an intimate and welcoming sweaty, dark cave of sonic joy.

This Friday, Japanese Deep Medi artist Goth Trad is coming back to join them for a birthday party and we are all invited. The technical end of dubstep is often misunderstood. Goth Trad is know for experimenting in and around the deep-bass soundscape and engaging audiences around the world. His return is just part of a long night of rolling beats supported by regulars DUKU, Brealfake and Joy and the ubiquitous MCs. Downstairs the 30hz sound system will be hosting WRDubs DJs.

If you haven’t experienced a night at The Mine it is a special thing. ‘Enthusiasts’ doesn’t quite cut it. Leave your ego on St James’ street and you’ll be greeted by a grinning (and yes sometimes gurning) bunch of individuals who genuinely coalesce around the sound. It can be hard to tell the clubbers from the DJs and other Mine team as mostly everyone is just mooching and moshing and getting deep into the vibe.
