TogetherFest, Saturday 30th May

If you’re missing The Great Escape and Brighton Festival, here’s the next best thing: virtual festival TogetherFest brings together around 20 local bands performing online to raise funds for Together Co, a Brighton and Hove charity that aims to end loneliness.

The line-up includes indie-pop group Stranger Girl, singer/songwriter Melissa Bel, indie-rock band Luna Blue and ska/dub/reggae 5-piece Dakka Skanks. From midday on Saturday 30th May, each band will release a mini gig that can be viewed for free on Youtube, Instagram and Facebook. All participants are volunteering their time to promote undiscovered musical talent in Brighton, while raising funds through donations to support Together Co’s work; particularly essential during this time of isolation for many.

Together Co Befriending has seen a huge increase in referrals due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every single pound raised by TogetherFest will make a difference – from helping train more volunteers to deliver food or offer friendly chats over the phone. Your donations will also help develop resources to support a city-wide response to loneliness.

Let’s face it, we could all use some fresh entertainment in our lives right now and what better than enjoying good music for a fantastic cause, all from the comfort of your own living room.
