Plantoid Album Launch Show

SOURCE always has our ear to the ground listening for talk of new bands and music. For some time now we’ve heard discerning music heads and local musicians describing Plantoid as the best live band in Brighton. And each time it is said with the sort of conviction that makes you take note.

It was therefore cause for excitement when they were announced as being on the bill for Lewes Psychedelic Festival this year.

A trip to Lewes is however just the start for what promises to be a great year for the band. Now signed to Bella Union, Plantoid are releasing their debut album, ‘Terrapath’, on February 2nd. New single ‘Modulator’ is typical of the jazzy and proggy inflections that underpin this band.

As part of the album launch celebrations Bella Union have announced an early evening live in-out-and-shake-it-all-about-store at Alphabet. The excellent sound quality in this recently renovated venue – formally known as the Rialto Theatre – should really suit the band’s complex arrangements.

If you needed any more persuasion, the tickets are the princely sum of £0 as this is a free show.
