Play On Theatre Showcase Preview, Tues 8th April

This spring, Play On premieres the first of their seasonal short-play nights, showcasing some of the UK’s best writing talent from TV, Stage and Film, brought to life by acclaimed directors and performers from across Brighton & Hove. 

The collective – formed by Brighton-based Beth Pitts and Jon Cooper – aims to forge an ever-evolving team of local artists presenting the most exciting, diverse and innovative new work for Sussex audiences. 

The night will feature work by award-winning local talent – including twice BAFTA-nominated Kenny Emson; multi-award-nominees of stage and screen, writers Jodi Gray and Sarah Milton; emerging writer Jesse Stone’s (Graeae’s New Writing Festival); and runner up in the Brighton and Hove Arts Council Sussex Poetry Competition Pete Strong. Directors include Fringe First Award-winning director Beth Pitts, with more to be announced shortly. 

Play On will be an evening of perfectly formed, short, sharp and hilarious shows giving you a varied, stimulating night at the theatre.
