Probably the best and most authentic funk band performing today, this New York outfit make a welcome return to the seafront. They’ve been putting out quality music for years but the songs really come into their own when played live. Sharon’s powerhouse vocals are augmented by Binky Griptite’s slick guitar and the punchiest horn section since the JB’s. If you like your soul music down and dirty, fat and frenetic, this bunch are your wet dream come true.
