Street Source No.25

Street Source is a regular feature showcasing photos taken around Brighton over the course of a month by one of our photographers. The idea is to share spontaneous moments around town – be it incidental street scenes, snapshots of people’s lives or images of the city as a landscape. Each month we ask a different local photographer to participate. Xavier Clarke was out with his camera during March.

Brighton is a great place to live and visit so I was really pleased to be asked to cover Street Source again. It’s very rare for me to be out and about without my camera, but this time I wanted to do something different. I love music and I love my job as a photographer. I thought I would try and combine my passions as much as possible, though it turns out not all buskers and performers are happy to be photographed, so my plans had to change. In this series I have combined a selection of musicians, photographers and attractions around Brighton. Of course, no series would be complete without a seagull or two…
