Deerhunter, Fri 30th October

In something of a double-header for fans of the Atlanta quartet, not only are Deerhunter playing the opening night of their UK tour to promote their excellent, crisp new album ‘Fading Frontier’ in Hove – but they’re also employing the skills of frontman Bradford Cox and his side project, Atlas Sound, as support.

The album focuses on a cleaner, almost more optimistic sound, with guest spots from members of Broadcast and Stereolab, although whether either of these will appear in the suitably imposing All Saints on the night remains to be seen.

Regardless, fans who’ve caught the band on their two previous Brighton jaunts will no doubt try and twist your arm that these guys, although already pretty damn sweet on record, are devastating live. Find out for yourself.
