Remember Matt Whistler and his cheeky escapades in the snow of Christmas 2010? (He basically sledged down Southover Street in the nod. We don’t know why.) Now he’s putting on a comedy night at Hotel Pelirocco on the last Thursday of every month. Whistler will be showcasing the artful slapstick he practices from his “first foot out of bed to the last” with various entertaining props. This time, he reveals, there will be rollerskates. He likes to surprise the audience, he says, and often even himself.

Join the loving crowd of his popular and free comedy night, co-hosted by Charmaine Davis, at their cute-and-cosy venue. You’ll also be asked to draw cartoons of Matt and Charmaine in alternative contexts for the chance to win tequila or a T-shirt. Matt’s dour knockabout humour comes highly recommended – not that he needs the exposure.
