John Grant, Fri 27th June

Posted by Andy Baker

Formerly of Denver rockers The Czars, Colorado singer songwriter John Grant has been going solo since 2010. Known for his powerful live performances, Grant pushes the boundaries of genre from country-tinged balladry to electro-infused minimalism. He’s touring last year’s excellent ‘Pale Green Ghosts’; a hauntingly beautiful collection of shape shifting tracks and will be taking in Brighton along the way. Grant has a massive arsenal at his disposal and he’s sure to pull out some surprises from a weighty back catalogue.

Brutally honest, adventurously eclectic and magically poignant; John Grant brings his spellbinding sonic tour de force to Brighton on Friday 27th June.

Andy started writing because he was always endlessly chewing people's ears off about gigs and new records. Particularly into hip hop, electro and the early noughties guitar scene but enjoys the production on most things. Occasional DJ, will play Kanye West at inappropriate times at parties.
