Nai Harvest, Fri 21st March

It’s a double record release party at Sticky Mike’s tonight, thanks to Brighton’s own DIY punk label and distro crew Dog Knights Productions. Technically this is a launch show for Sheffield noise-pop pair Nai Harvest’s new 7″ EP ‘Hold Open My Head’ but handily enough their tourmates and label-buddies Playlounge have got their eagerly awaited full length debut LP ‘Pilot’ back from the pressing plant in time too. So that’s two excellent rock duos, loads of brand new coloured vinyl, plus support from Birdskulls and Hindsights, not bloody bad.

Stuart Huggett grew up in Hastings, writing fanzines and blogs about the town’s underground music scene. He has been a regular contributor to SOURCE, NME, The Quietus and Bowlegs. His huge archive of magazines, flyers and vinyl is either an invaluable research tool or a bloody pain. He occasionally runs tinpot record label Dizzy Tiger, DJs sporadically and plays live even less.
