Richard Hawley, Sun 25th October

Richard Hawley, who you may remember was was once the guitarist in Pulp, is releasing his eighth studio album ‘Hollow Meadows’ and starts off his UK tour at Brighton Dome. A most charismatic and heartfelt performer, his live session on BBC Radio 6 brought tears to the eyes of DJ Shaun Keaveny. Covering themes such as ageing, fallibility and relationships, much of the new album shares the brooding, wistful and romantic atmosphere of his earlier material, yet Hawley continues to refine his classic and sophisticated songwriting talents. Expect beautiful melodies, harmonies and the wonderful storytelling vocals that he’s become renowned for.
