Grime music is in the middle of a massive revival and the resurgence of this genre, born out of garage around a decade ago, has been building for quite some time. At the forefront is 21-year-old South London rapper Stormzy, who has garnered millions of views for his tunes ‘Not That Deep’, ‘Know Me From’ and ‘Shut Up’. Authentic and firmly connected to his roots as shown by his web freestyle series ‘WickedSkengMan’ showcasing local talent, he has also gained support from originators Wiley, Skepta and Lethal Bizzle.

Stormzy’s impressive work rate and succcess has led to a MOBO award, an appearance on ‘Later With Jools Holland’ and being featured briefly at the Brits, if you remember a certain Kanye West bringing a crew of UK grime artists out on stage with him earlier this year. This revitalisation and taking the sound back to what made grime so appealing in the first place has created an excitement around his live shows, the feeling that anything could happen.
