The Black Dahlia Murder, Thursday 14th January

Dec 14, 2015

Posted by Karen McDermott

What better way to liven up the typically bleak comedown of a month that is January than with a dose of raucous death metal? Taking their name from a grisly unsolved murder of the 1940s, The Black Dahlia Murder are more Scandi influence than Hollywood sensationalism. They kick off their European tour at The Haunt, in support of seventh album ‘Abysmal’, an offering which was generally revered in the metal community as anything but. Expect a solid onslaught of growled lyrics and melodic hooks. Support comes from the excellent complementary choice of French grindcore legends Benighted, and local lads Jonestown.
